John R. King Funeral Director

John & Thelma King are the co-founders of King-Lynk Funeral Home. They, and Jim & Jane Lynk, founded the funeral home in 1974 with the blessing of Jimmy Nieters, of the former Nieters Funeral Home. John & Thelma have four children, all were raised in Fort Madison and are now grown.

Jim K. Lynk Funeral Director

Jim & Jane Lynk are the co-founders of King-Lynk Funeral Home with John & Thelma King. They opened the funeral home in 1974 with the blessing of Jimmy Nieters, of the former Nieters Funeral Home. Jim & Jane raised two children in Fort Madison, they are now grown.

Jason J. Lynk Funeral Director

Jason & Heather Lynk are the second generation of funeral service at King-Lynk. Jason & his wife Heather were both born and raised in Fort Madison and they have two children, a daughter, Anna, and a son, Jonathan. Jason is a fully licensed & practicing funeral director and embalmer.  He is active in the Fort Madison Lion’s Club and serves on the Board of Directors of Connection Bank and the Southeast Iowa Regional Riverboat Commission.  Heather is the 6th generation of her family to live in Fort Madison.  She moved back to Fort Madison after graduating from the University of Iowa and works at Bagcraft, the former Wolf Packaging, here in Fort Madison.

Heather A. O'Tool Funeral Director

Heather O'Tool graduated from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in Houston, TX, second in her graduating class.  She is a licensed funeral director and embalmer also and has worked for King-Lynk since 2006.  Along with her husband, Mike O'Tool, they enjoy landscaping work, attending horse shows, traveling and Iowa Hawkeye games.  Her daughter, Kerrigan, is currently attending the University of Iowa.

Michaela Knipe Office Manager

Michaela Knipe started with King-Lynk full-time in 2015, but she had helped them out from time to time with some record archiving since 2010.  She has since helped them to usher in some great upgrades to printing and personalization for services. Michaela is involved in her parish activities, like taking over as President of their Ladies’ Club and as a Leader for the youth group.
